Grow, Glow & Flow

Grow, Glow & Flow

There are so many parts to life, and growing will always be one of them. For me, I stay in a constant state of growth (honestly, whether I like it or not).

I struggle with a lot of things, but the main thing is perfectionism. It has to be exactly what I imagined for everything I do and in every part of my life. I am learning to slowly let that go. I have to let go of the heavy expectations that my mind conjures up because not only does it weigh down my heart, mind and body (the not so wonderful side of stress and anxiety that many of us are feeling or have felt recently), but it also does not leave room for the unexpected. The unexpected can truly take you to magical places because it gives you a different feeling from what you expect, it's almost like feeling surprised. Whether the unexpected is good or not so good, it all leads to the same place, an end result to grow from.

This leads me to my new personal slogan, "Grow, Glow & Flow". My thought is if you lean into whatever situation you're in with an open heart and mind and releasing crazy expectations that you put upon yourself or others put upon you, then not only will you grow, but you will start to glow. You will glow because you know that in the end, it will always be okay, it will turn out for your good, because you will learn and grow from your situation. When you know better, you do better, and you will start to grow into who you truly are, or who you want to become, and you will start glowing in the eyes of others, and even yourself once you realize it. Then, when your situation is favorable enough to where you start expanding yourself because you know you can do more, it turns into a flow. You flow when you are most comfortable with whatever you are doing. This could be killing it at your job, or reaching your personal weight goals, or even getting a consistent self-care routine that you love.

The beautiful thing about Grow, Glow & Flow is that you are not always in the same phase in different parts of your life. You could be flowing at your job, glowing in your relationships, but still growing in the financial debt department. You know? I feel like that perfectly describes what a lot of us are going through right now. Since this pandemic, we have all had to shift, shift our work/home life balance, shift our schedules, shift the way we do things and more. Now that we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel and the whirlwind of life is threatening to start back up with a vengeance, just take a step back and breathe. Remember, it may not be perfect, but no matter what situation we are in, we can get to any stage of Grow, Glow, & Flow.

Don't be surprised if you see this on a T-shirt or mug soon!
